Results
The results of the competition must remain unknown to the public until the awards ceremony as announced by the Echanson Provincial for the Super Regional Level and the Grand Echanson for the National Finals. The determination of the judges is final. There is no appeal mechanism and appeals will not be considered. The announcement will take place in an appropriate location, as determined by the Grand Echanson, followed by an awards Dinner. The announcement of the results shall be recognized with photographs and press releases. The Chargé de Presse Provincial shall be responsible for all photographs and Press releases for the Super Regional Level and the Chargé de Presse National (or delegate) shall be responsible for all photographs and press releases for the National Final. These photographs and press releases should be included in the following issue of Gastronome and the Mondiale Newsletter.

Prizes
The first place winners of the Super Regional Level Young Sommelier Competitions are entitled to take part in the National Young Sommelier Competition National Finals. The Super Regional Level winners will receive a silver medal during the announcement ceremonies, and all participants will receive a diploma and a bronze medal. The medals are to be engraved with the competition date, region and sponsor.

The name of the first place winner in the National Finals of the Young Sommelier Competition shall be engraved on the perpetual Young Sommeliers Competition Trophy. This trophy will be kept by the national office for display purposes.  Engraved medals are to be awarded as follows:

•     Gold Medal and Trophy to First Place
•     Silver Medal to Second Place
•     Bronze Medal to Third Place
•     $1000 Educational Scholarship to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners
