e spent the
following day at the U.C. Davis campus, where we gained an insight
into why their viticulture and enology and their food science and
technology programs are world renown. Professor Bruce German spoke
on “The Relationship of the Culinary Aspects of our Diet to Health
in the Next Millennium.” This was followed by a presentation
entitled “GMOs and your Food Supply,” by Professor Alan Bennett.
A panel, moderated by Professors German and Bennett, and comprised
of Assistant Professor Sue Ebeler, Associate Professor Andy
Waterhouse, and Professor Carl Keen, then addressed the subject,
“Food, Wine and Health in the 21st Century.” |
