This describes members of Societe Mondiale du Vin,
who passionately promote the enjoyment and
knowledge of fine
wines and crafted beverages. Our mission is to
produce extraordinary beverage tastings along
with food
and wine pairings. Like our benevolent
parent, La Chaine, we combine professional and amateur
participation.
 At the professional level, this takes the form
of encouraging young wine and spirit
professionals to excel by entering the annual
Young Sommelier Competition. We are proud that our competitions
are judged by
the American Chapter of the Court of Master
Sommeliers, thus bringing together the most
prestigious wine society and the most
prestigious sommelier society.
We invite all of our members to help identify
the most promising candidates between the ages
of 21 and 32, so that they may be among those
competing at regional competitions held annually. The ten regional
winners compete in the national finals. Click

I encourage all to attend Societe Mondiale du Vin
national meetings each year. These National
Meetings are designed to provide many
extraordinary experiences. Our focus as
always is on the appreciation of wine, food and
camaraderie. I urge you to reserve as soon as
possible to get your choice of venues. Our
National Meetings are always an early sell-out.

Societe Mondiale du Vin arranges unique
trips abroad, hunting for the
nectar of the gods in the form of the best wines
and spirits. Our prior trips have included both
land tours and cruises. Because of
the level of interest expressed, we are planning
more trips than ever in the years to come.

We invite each Chaine member who is not already

to join and enjoy the trips, the wine and
spirits events, the education, and the knowledge

professionals. You will be joining over 2,500
other members of la Chaine des Rotisseurs who
enjoy the benifits of membership in Societe
